During an urgent operation conducted in collaboration between the State Security Service and the Tashkent City Department of Internal Affairs, the chief specialist of the Housing, Communal Services, and Improvement Department of the Uchtepa district administration was caught red-handed while receiving a bribe.
It is reported that the official demanded 3 thousand US dollars from an entrepreneur in exchange for not including the entrepreneur's object in the list of trade establishments planned for demolition in the district and for not demolishing it. He was apprehended with material evidence while receiving the money.
Regarding this incident, a criminal case has been initiated against the official under Part 3, paragraph "v" of Article 168, as well as Articles 28 and 211, Part 1 of the Criminal Code. Currently, the measure of detention has been applied against him, and investigative actions are continuing.
