It has been determined to precisely define the types of information related to a person that must be mandatorily stored in the territory of Uzbekistan, as well as to introduce conditions such as ensuring security, compliance with international standards, and fulfilling the requirements of the authorized body for the processing and storage of certain information abroad.
These changes are aimed at attracting international payment systems to Uzbekistan, further improving the investment environment, expanding the digital services market, and creating modern payment opportunities for citizens and tourists.
For reference, during Shavkat Mirziyoyev's visit to the USA in November 2025, it was announced that the Apple Pay and Google Pay payment systems would be introduced in Uzbekistan.
