In the Bukhara region, a woman who extorted $6,000 from her friend in exchange for not distributing her private photos and videos, which she obtained through a fake profile on Telegram, has been detained. The regional DIA reported this.

According to information, on January 19, the suspect, introducing herself as "Feruz" on Telegram, met the victim, gained her trust by playing the role of a lover, and then the woman sent her personal photos and videos. Not long after, the suspect threatened to distribute them to family members and demanded $6,000 USD.

During an urgent operation conducted regarding the situation, the suspect was caught red-handed at the moment when 2 million soums were transferred to a plastic card from the victim. A criminal case has now been initiated against her under Part 1 of Article 165 of the Criminal Code, and investigative actions are being carried out.
