According to information obtained during an urgent operation conducted jointly by the DXX Navoi regional department and regional DIA employees, the group, having attracted foreign citizens, operated in violation of tax, geological, and environmental legislation. The criminal group was led by the head of a limited liability company specializing in the sports sector in the Karmana district.
During the operation, 17.2 kg of gold and silver alloy, 20 kg of semi-finished gold products, 250 kg of enriched coal containing gold particles, more than 280 tons of sand and ores, 230 liters of special chemical agents, and laboratory equipment intended for gold extraction were confiscated from the offenders. Furthermore, fields filled with chemical agents intended for gold extraction in artificial ponds without legal oversight were also identified.
Currently, material evidence has been sent for examination, and pre-investigation actions are being carried out. During the operation, the rule of law and the protection of state reserves were ensured.
