A risk of avalanches has been declared in a number of mountainous areas of Uzbekistan.

According to "Uzhydromet", due to expected precipitation and changes in air temperature on January 31 and February 1-3, there is a risk of avalanches in the mountainous areas of the republic.

In particular, Kashkadarya (Dehqonobod, Kitob, Kamashi, Shahrisabz), Surkhandarya (Boysun, Kumqo'rg'on, Sariosiyo, Uzun), Samarkand (Nurobod, Qo'shrabot, Samarkand, Urgut), Jizzakh (Baxmal, Zomin), the Bo'stonliq, Parkent, and Ohangaron districts of Tashkent region (Chatkal range), as well as Pop district of Namangan region have been noted as dangerous areas.

Citizens living in mountainous areas, vacationers, and drivers moving in these areas were asked to take precautionary measures.
