Students who spread extremist ideas through Telegram were detained.

A student of a higher education institution in Tashkent was detained for distributing banned religious content via Telegram.

As a result of rapid measures taken by employees of the Jizzakh Department of Internal Affairs and the State Security Service, it was established that two students born in 2001 and 2002, studying in Tashkent, had distributed extremist audio and video materials via a Telegram group.

18 individuals residing in the Zhijdaly, G'obdun, Lalmikor, Navruz, Navbahor, Khojakabut, and Yashnobod neighborhoods were recruited to this virtual group.

Regarding the incident, a criminal case was initiated against these two individuals under Part 1 of Article 244-1 of the Criminal Code, and 9 individuals were taken into administrative detention. Furthermore, preventive conversations were held with 7 individuals, and the legal consequences were explained.
