According to him, it is proposed to cancel admission on an increased tuition-contract basis in medical universities starting from the 2026/2027 academic year.

According to the document announced by the Ministry of Health, it is planned to set minimum passing scores for the bachelor's, master's, and residency levels: for medical specialties — 70 percent, for mid-level medical staff — 60 percent.

It is also envisaged to increase the allocated credit hours for the most widespread and high-mortality diseases and to make practical training in evidence-based medicine and simulation centers mandatory in the educational process.

The draft proposes that training of doctors in narrow specialties be carried out only through residency and master's programs, and to abolish the practice of specialization through short-term retraining courses and internship. The discussion of the draft will last until March 18.
