At Tashkent International Airport, two passengers attempting to illegally take out gold items on the eve of a flight to Istanbul were exposed.

This was reported by the information service of the Customs Committee.

It is reported that during a personal inspection conducted in collaboration with the border customs post of "Tashkent International Airport" and State Security Service officers, two women who behaved suspiciously were checked.

The inspection revealed that they had hidden gold jewelry inside their bodies with the intention of taking them out secretly. 

One of them attempted to take out gold items weighing 252 grams in this manner, and the other, items weighing 158 grams.

Furthermore, it was found that the women also had jewelry items weighing 64 grams in their handbags that were not declared for customs control.

According to preliminary calculations, the total value of the seized jewelry items amounts to approximately 720 million soums.

Currently, investigative actions are being carried out by customs authorities regarding this incident.
