U.S. President Donald Trump has stated that he is dissatisfied with the ongoing negotiations with Iran. According to him, if the situation does not change, the American military may resume military actions.
Trump spoke about this during a Cabinet meeting held at the White House on May 27.
According to the U.S. President, Tehran is currently ready to resolve the conflict directly. However, Washington is not satisfied with the terms Iran is offering.
“The U.S. will either reach an acceptable agreement for itself or finish the matter. We will see what happens,” Trump said, hinting at the possibility of war with Iran resuming.
Furthermore, Trump emphasized that he is not satisfied with the option of easing sanctions in exchange for Iran handing over its stockpile of highly enriched uranium.
According to him, Tehran “will hand over highly enriched uranium, but not in exchange for easing sanctions.”
