Special attention is being paid to protecting public health and limiting the illegal drug trade in our country.

During an inspection at a pharmaceutical enterprise in the Parkent district, it was found that 55,840 units of "Menovazin", 25,000 units of "Hydrogen Peroxide", 50,800 units of "Ethyl Alcohol", and 28.27 million units of auxiliary labels were being stored past their expiration date. It was planned to repackage and put them up for sale with information indicating they were manufactured in 2025–2026.

Furthermore, in the capital, a citizen of Fergana city was stopped and found to have 6,597 units of medicines, with an approximate value of 763 million soums, the import of which into Uzbekistan is prohibited. An additional 107 units of medicines were also found in his home.

Currently, expert examination and investigative work are being carried out in both cases. The public is advised to purchase medicines only from official pharmacies and to pay attention to quality. Illegal cases can be reported to the short number 1520 of the DXX.
