It was determined that the product sold as a dietary supplement was in fact a medicine.

During the inspection of the surrounding authorities, it was additionally established that the composition of the sold product corresponds to the medicinal substance.

The Competition Committee received an appeal from a citizen regarding a biologically active supplement (BAS) purchased from a pharmacy. The investigation results determined that the composition of this product is identical to that of a medicinal product.

Inspections were conducted with the participation of authorized bodies, and the Center for Pharmaceutical Product Safety confirmed the necessity of registering this product as a medicinal product.

It is reported that it was previously established that the medicinal product "ORSA" by Malika Laborstories had been registered and produced as a BAS under the name "ORS," and the relevant license was revoked.

According to the conclusion of the investigation, the collected documents were submitted to Sanepidkomita for taking measures in accordance with the established procedure, as well as for reviewing previously registered BAS.

In accordance with the legislation, the manufacturer is obliged to provide the consumer with correct and complete information about the product. If a purchase was made based on incorrect information, the consumer has the right to demand termination of the contract and compensation for damages.
