Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf stated that if the US maintains its naval blockade, the Strait of Hormuz could be closed.
According to him, under such conditions, passage through the strait would only be carried out along routes and with special permission determined by Iran. Qalibaf also criticized recent statements by US President Donald Trump, calling them "lies."
"With these lies, they cannot win in war and will not achieve results in negotiations either," he said.
At the same time, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Ismail Baqaei firmly rejected the possibility of the country giving its enriched uranium to other states. He emphasized that such an option has never been considered.
