Illegal actions of deputy governors in Tashkent and Jizzakh regions were stopped. This was reported by the press service of the State Security Service here.
It is noted that during a rapid operation conducted by the employees of the State Security Service of Tashkent region in collaboration with the Department under the Prosecutor General's Office, in one of the neighborhoods of Urtachirchik district, an assistant to the governor K.M., through his official acquaintances, demanded $15,000 from a citizen for leasing 1.8 hectares of land for 10 years as part of the "Green Space" national project, having received an advance of $13,000 before his illegal actions were halted.
In a similar case observed in Jizzakh region, an assistant to the governor I.K. in one of the neighborhoods of Gallaorol district, with the help of authoritative acquaintances, had taken $1,200 from a citizen in exchange for securing employment at the district health association when the State Security Service and Internal Affairs officers detained him with material evidence.
A criminal case has now been initiated against the deputy governors.
