In the Syrdarya region, law enforcement officers arrested a woman who attempted to sell three of her neighbors abroad for prostitution. The Supreme Court's press service reported this.
Law enforcement officers stopped the woman at a border post with three of her acquaintances. She claimed that the women with her were her neighbors and that they had simply gone out to see her off. During the investigation, it was revealed that the accused had purchased electronic plane tickets using the victims' passports.
In April 2024, after returning to Uzbekistan from Russia, she gained the trust of her financially disadvantaged neighbors and convinced them that they could earn a substantial amount of money by engaging in prostitution abroad.
The accused stated that the victims had agreed to the proposal, asking for a reduction in her sentence. A criminal case was initiated against her, resulting in a sentence of 3 years and 6 months of imprisonment.
