The postponement of the “Jewel of the Silk Road” XVI Tashkent International Film Festival, which was scheduled to be held in the capital from 15-19 September this year, has been announced.

"As is known, our country has become the center of many significant international events this year. Their dates coincide with the days of the Film Festival. In particular, the World Futsal Championship and several other international forums and conferences are among them. Despite the fact that the acceptance of applications for participation in the competition program of the Film Festival has been stopped (more than 400 films from over 60 countries), requests from applicants from foreign countries are still continuing. This, in turn, necessitates changes to our plans related to the dates of the Film Festival.

We sincerely apologize for having to change your plans and express our sincere gratitude for your interest in the Festival, looking forward to seeing you at the “Jewel of the Silk Road” XVI Tashkent International Film Festival", - says the press service of the festival.
