“On the organization of the activity of the Agency for the Development of the Agro-industrial Complex under the Ministry of Agriculture” Presidential Decree (PQ-344, September 30, 2024) was adopted.
According to the decision, the following were approved:
A “roadmap” for deepening reforms in the fields of horticulture, viticulture, greenhouse farming, and improving the system of storage and processing of agricultural products;
Target indicators for the establishment of fig, hazelnut, and olive groves in 2024–2027.
The types of subsidies in the field of agriculture and food that are financed by the Agency from the Fund's resources will be optimized.
In this regard:
From January 1, 2025:
- a subsidy up to 16 million UZS per hectare for installing drip irrigation systems in intensive fruit gardens and vineyards is designated;
- a subsidy for applying water-saving technologies varies from 40 thousand UZS to 250 thousand UZS depending on the size (diameter) of the water pipes;
- the expenses for purchasing fruit graft seedlings created by the “in-vitro” method are subsidized at the rate of 50 percent of these costs;
- planting schemes are determined based on the soil and climate conditions of the regions, with the recommendation of the Agency;
- all types of subsidies for seedling grafts will be canceled from October 1, 2024.
