In connection with this, the Asian Olympic Council Director General, World Aquatics President Hussein Al Musallam visited the capital. The National Olympic Committee's press service reported this.
He has thoroughly acquainted himself with the preparations for the Tashkent-2025 Youth Asian Games.
Specifically, he visited the Olympic village being constructed in our capital in the first half of the day and studied the current state of construction works. The NOC Secretary General Oybek Kasimov and representatives of China's “CAMC engineering” company, responsible for the construction works, accompanied him.
Subsequently, a meeting on organizational matters was held at the Uzbekistan National Olympic Committee. At the meeting, the employees of the Tashkent-2025 directorate demonstrated a presentation about the preparations for the Games.
It provided detailed information about the extensive preparations underway, the sports to be included in the Games program, the facilities where they will be held, the estimated number of delegations, the transport-logistics issue, and other organizational topics.
In turn, Hussein Al Musallam, while expressing his opinion on the presentation, also touched upon anti-doping, visa, and aviation issues, noting the importance of thoroughly studying these directions.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the esteemed guest expressed his positive remarks about the preparations for the Games. In particular, he added that the Olympic village being constructed demonstrates our country's capabilities on the international stage once again.
