A person was arrested in Syrdarya for attempting to send a woman to Russia for prostitution. This was reported by the regional Department of Internal Affairs press service here.
It is reported that during a rapid operation in the region, a resident of Syrdarya named Z. told a woman living in Yangiyer city that there was work available in Russia and that she could earn a lot of money by engaging in prostitution there.
The woman agreed. Citizen Z. promised to provide the ticket and all necessary documents on her behalf. Z. planned to send the woman to Russia with a male criminal partner, also named Z. This man and woman were arrested in Syrdarya district while heading to Tashkent International Airport to fly to Russia.
A criminal case has been initiated under Article 135 part 2 of the Criminal Code, and investigative actions are being conducted.
