As previously reported, a session of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis is being held with the participation of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev in progress.

It was noted that conducting an effective foreign policy for the all-around development of the country, expanding the circle of friends and partners, and deepening regional cooperation with neighboring countries are extremely important tasks.

For this purpose, the President emphasized the necessity of adopting the Foreign Policy Concept in a new edition.

Strengthening good-neighborly relations among the Central Asian states, ensuring regional security and stability will remain a priority direction in foreign policy. The "Central Asian five" meeting to be held in our country next year will be another significant practical step in this direction.

Currently, citizens are freely traveling to Kyrgyzstan with an ID card. Now, it is planned to introduce the same arrangement with Kazakhstan and Tajikistan.

Developing effective and systematic relations with Central Asian countries, other leading partner countries, prestigious international and regional organizations, and financial institutions will always be a focal point.

Taking the opportunity, the President congratulated the members of the diplomatic corps and representatives of international organizations participating in today's meeting, expressing gratitude on behalf of the people for supporting the reforms, going to the regions to closely acquaint with the innovations and changes, and sharing their countries' experiences.
