A part of a construction crane collapsed onto the roof of State Kindergarten No. 5 in the city of Yangiyul, Tashkent region. The Pre-school and School Education Department reported this.
It is noted that the incident occurred around 19:10 on March 25th. The jib (arm) part of a lifting crane, which was being constructed by a private entrepreneur in the area adjacent to the kindergarten for a residential complex, fell onto the kindergarten's roof due to rain.
The roof of the building was damaged. There were no injuries as a result of the incident.
Emergency services, local government officials, prosecutors, and police officers arrived at the scene immediately. The crane's jib that had damaged the roof was removed.
Currently, 8 workers from the construction organization have started repairing works by removing the damaged metal roofing and wooden parts of the roof. The organization has stated that it will take 3 days to restore the building to working condition.
The kindergarten's operations have been temporarily suspended.
