A horrific event occurred in the Fergana region: a man, having dreamt that his wife was cheating on him, killed her with a knife while she was sleeping. It is reported that there was no argument between the husband and wife on the night of the incident. The man woke up around 4:30 AM and stabbed his wife 13 times with a knife he had hidden under his pillow. After realizing what he had done, he called for medical help, but it was not possible to save the woman's life.

As determined during the trial, the man had previously made unfounded accusations and initiated disputes with his wife. The father of three children was sentenced to 16 years in prison under Article 97 of the Criminal Code.
