Actors Halit Ergenç and Riza Kocaoglu, who are famous in Turkey, were found guilty of giving false testimony in the investigation related to protests in Istanbul. Their manager, Ayse Barim, was also held responsible for the same charge, according to "Zamon.uz".
According to the verdict, Ergenç, who gained fame in Uzbekistan through the series “Magnificent Century”, was sentenced to 1 year, 10 months, and 15 days in prison, while Kocaoglu, known for his roles in “Inside” and “Pit” series, was sentenced to 1 year and 8 months.
The defenders of the actors expressed dissatisfaction with the court's decision, stating their intention to appeal. Fans, meanwhile, are expressing various opinions on social media regarding the incident.
