Three people died from gas poisoning in a well in the Saykhunabad district of the Syrdarya region. Hayat Shamsutdinov, the press secretary of the Prosecutor General's Office, informed "Darakchi.uz" about this.
It is noted that the incident occurred on May 22 at around 18:30. A 67-year-old man living in the Dustlik neighborhood of the district went down to clean a 5-meter well in his house. However, he died as a result of inhaling the toxic gas produced in it.
Later, his 39-year-old son and 46-year-old neighbor, who fell into the well to save him, also died from gas poisoning. Two other people who came to rescue them also deteriorated their health and lost consciousness as a result of inhaling toxic gas.
Thanks to the assistance provided by the employees of the Saykhunabad District Department of Emergency Situations, the bodies of a father, son, and a neighbor, as well as two citizens who lost consciousness from the poisonous gas, were extracted from the well. Thanks to the medical assistance provided, their lives were saved and they were placed in the district medical association.
The Saykhunabad District Prosecutor's Office is conducting a pre-investigation check on this fact.
