Shavkat Mirziyoyev welcomed the Prime Ministers of Kazakhstan and Tajikistan, the Head of the Presidential Administration of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, and the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, who are participating in the events of the Tashkent International Investment Forum. Issues related to further development and strengthening of strategic partnerships and alliances were discussed within the framework of agreements reached during high-level meetings between countries.
It was noted with satisfaction that the trade turnover is steadily increasing. Projects in the automotive industry, electrical engineering, textile, metallurgy, pharmaceutical, construction, and agriculture sectors are being successfully implemented.
It was emphasized that coordinated measures by the governments of the two countries to increase mutual trade and form a long-term program of industrial cooperation in priority sectors, including at the regional level, are important.
Special attention was paid to accelerating major regional projects in energy and transport communications, including the construction of Kambarata HPP-1 and the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway.
The importance of effectively organizing the upcoming meetings of the Intergovernmental Commission and the Council of Regional Leaders this year was highlighted.
