In the Polish Sejm (lower house), a vote was held in which 243 deputies expressed their confidence in the government led by Prime Minister Donald Tusk, while 210 opposed it.

Tusk initiated this vote following the victory of the conservative Karol Nawrot in the presidential elections, aiming to dispel doubts about the stability of the government.

“I asked for this vote of confidence not to show my strength, but rather to put an end to excessive noise and speculation,” says Tusk.

He also acknowledged the significant tasks that lay ahead for the government in regaining the trust of the voters.
