The United States of America is not in a direct war with Iran. This was officially announced by U.S. Vice President Jay D. Vance.
“We are not at war with Iran. We are fighting against Iran's nuclear program,” he said in an interview with “NBC News”.
This statement was made following the strikes by the U.S. on nuclear facilities in Iran.
However, the Vice President acknowledged that he could not guarantee a 100 percent destruction of Iran's nuclear facilities.
“I do not want to fully disclose what we have seen regarding secret intelligence in Iran's territory. But we have seen a lot. I am confident that this strike has significantly delayed Iran's efforts to develop a nuclear weapon. That was exactly our main goal,” Jay D. Vance emphasized.
We remind you that tensions between Iran and the U.S. have escalated in recent weeks. The U.S. strike on nuclear facilities in Iran could further intensify geopolitical tensions in the region.
