Israel's National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir drew public attention with a sharp statement, saying that Syrian President Ahmad al-Sharaa should be "eliminated."
In his video address, he stated that negotiations with the Syrian government are impossible and emphasized that the only solution is to target the president.
"We must crush the head of the snake," said Ben-Gvir, directly labeling Syria's leadership as a threat.
His remarks could further escalate tensions in Israeli politics. Meanwhile, no official response or comment has been issued from Damascus.
