Trump decided to withdraw the U.S. from UNESCO. The Guardian reported on this.
"President Donald Trump has decided to withdraw the United States from UNESCO, an organization that promotes cultural and social issues that are completely contrary to the sound thinking and policies the American people voted for in November, and that stirs up conflict and hostility," said White House Deputy Press Secretary Anna Kelly.
According to The New York Post, the White House considers this organization's position to be anti-American, anti-Zionist, and pro-China, and is also dissatisfied with its policy of "diversity, equality, and inclusivity."
UNESCO is a UN agency that deals with protecting cultural heritage worldwide, as well as promoting education, science, and free mass media.
