In the Gaza sector, Israeli forces once again opened fire near the aid centers of the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF), which is supported by Israelis. According to reports from local witnesses and health workers, at least 10 Palestinians were killed in the incidents that occurred on Saturday.
This incident occurred one day after U.S. officials visited the GHF center and praised the system as a "remarkable achievement." The GHF was launched in May with U.S. assistance and is considered an alternative aid system chosen by Israel to replace the UN.
In recent days, food shortages in Gaza have worsened again. According to UN data, 859 people have been killed around GHF centers from May to the end of July. On the other hand, the Israeli army and GHF deny their involvement in the incidents that took place at the scene.
Meanwhile, the Gaza Health Ministry reported that in the last 24 hours, 7 Palestinians, including one child, have died due to food shortages. Since the start of the war, 93 children and 76 adults have died of starvation.
