In Italy's Piedmont region, the body of 64-year-old missing doctor Nicola Ivaldo was found with the help of artificial intelligence after nearly a year. NDTV reported this.
According to reports, Italy's National Alpine and Cave Rescue Service had been conducting search operations for Nicola Ivaldo for a year. However, when no results were achieved, modern drones were deployed.
Two drones monitored forested areas in the Piedmont region for five hours on July 29. Later, rescuers uploaded these images to AI, which immediately identified "suspicious points."
Although rescue efforts were delayed due to rain and fog, the body was found on July 31 with the help of forensic experts and drones. Rescuers believe that if they had analyzed the images themselves, the process could have taken weeks or months.
