As a result of active measures carried out by the State Security Service of the Republic of Uzbekistan in cooperation with the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation, the aforementioned individuals, while on the territory of the Russian Federation, fell under the influence of a religious extremist movement, participated in the activities of an international terrorist organization, and were engaged in expanding their ranks by recruiting labor migrants from various countries.
They organized secret gatherings and conducted systematic indoctrination based on the so-called "global caliphate" doctrine, as well as recruitment activities for the terrorist organization via video conferences through the Telegram messenger. Their activities were coordinated by like-minded ideological associates abroad.
Based on the collected materials, the Russian Investigative Committee initiated a criminal case against them for organizing and participating in the activities of a terrorist organization.
As a result of active measures conducted by the State Security Service in Kashkadarya region, two more members of this group were detained.
It was established that these individuals were also members of virtual groups created on the Telegram messenger by members of the underground community in Russia, where they were exposed to the ideological doctrines of the terrorist organization and disseminated materials promoting the unconstitutional change of the existing political system.
Furthermore, during a search of their residences, four mobile communication devices, three pieces of literature containing extremist ideas, two flash drives, and one SIM card belonging to a foreign country were seized as evidence and sent to the relevant organizations for expert examination.
Currently, investigative and pre-trial measures are being carried out against the detained individuals.
