According to information provided by Intellectual Property News, it has been determined that "F.T." LLC is illegally using a trademark resembling "Uzum" in the general food sector, which is similar to the trademarks "Uzum tezkor" and "Uzum food" owned by Uzum tezkor LLC.
Uzum tezkor LLC filed a lawsuit demanding compensation for the violation, and the court ruled that "F.T." LLC must pay 75 million soums in damages, totaling 94 million soums when including state duties and other expenses.
"Respected entrepreneurs! We urge you to register your brand and, in case of encountering illegal use of your brand, to report it through the Ministry of Justice's '1008' hotline or via email at info@adliya.uz," the statement reads.
