On August 13, due to a technical error in the database of the Tax Committee, a total of 399.3 billion soums were unjustifiably deducted from the accounts of 30.1 thousand taxpayers.
According to the Committee, amounts ranging from 100 thousand soums to 1 billion soums were withdrawn from the accounts of some citizens.
Tax authorities took urgent measures and fully refunded the amounts by August 14. Additionally, the temporarily declined stability rating of business entities was restored.
The Chairman of the Committee, Sherzod Kudbiyev, stated that necessary measures would be taken to prevent such incidents from recurring and emphasized the importance of taxpayers' trust.
