Over the past eight years, the pre-school education system has expanded with the participation of the private sector, and the number of places in kindergartens has been increased to 2.5 million.

The coverage now stands at 78 percent. School infrastructure has also developed significantly, creating an additional 1 million student places.

The quality of education in schools is being updated based on modern textbooks and advanced pedagogical approaches.

Furthermore, higher education coverage has been increased from 9 percent to 42 percent, with the share of women making up 53 percent.

Currently, more than 2,000 Uzbek youth are studying at the world's leading universities. Of these, 750 have the opportunity to study at the state's expense through the "El-Yurt Umidi" foundation.

As the President emphasized, last year Uzbek youth took first place in Central Asia for admission to the TOP-500 higher education institutions — this is a source of pride and joy for parents and the entire society.
