Funding allocated to the healthcare sector has increased sixfold over the past years. High-tech medical procedures that were previously only performed in the capital are now being carried out in more than 400 regional centers.
Furthermore, the life expectancy of the population has increased from 73.8 years to 75.1 years. The President emphasized, "Whatever strength and funding is needed for education, healthcare, for teachers and doctors—all of it will be mobilized."
Youth – the force realizing dreams
The youth of Uzbekistan are achieving historic successes in the fields of sports and science. The national team secured a ticket to the World Championship for the first time, and our students, among 116 countries, entered the top-15 at the Universiade for the first time.
Moreover, our young boxers won the Asian Championship. The President said, "We have built an Olympic town in Tashkent for a healthy generation and established a modern Football Academy for the first time."
Youth who shine at science olympiads are the pride of Uzbekistan
This year, our youth won 15 medals at international science olympiads. They ranked 2nd in chemistry, 3rd in mathematics and economics, and 4th in IT and geography among CIS countries.
The President praised the youth as the "future Khwarazmis, Berunis, and Ibn Sinas," addressing them with, "Success is destined for those who strive, victory for those who fight. Only the victorious make history."
Uzbekistan is stepping into the era of "digital and fair courts"
Court cases are being fully digitized, the human factor is being reduced, and artificial intelligence is being implemented. Now, the parties do not need to go and sit in court—the processes are conducted online.
Over the last three years, 70 percent of those sentenced received non-custodial sentences, nearly 3,000 citizens were acquitted, and over 3,000 convicts were pardoned. The President emphasized that these reforms are "not a temporary campaign, but rather state policy."
