As a result of the implementation of the policy of openness and large-scale reforms towards renewal in our country, the attention of international sports organizations to sports infrastructure, particularly football, is increasing, just like in other fields.
Over the past 2-3 years, the number of working visits by heads of international sports organizations to our country has increased.
In particular, the head of the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) came to Tashkent 3-4 times within 1-2 years, and this process has become commonplace.
As a result of the talks during these visits, many projects were launched in cooperation with the Uzbekistan Football Association and FIFA.
While in 2024 the country hosted a FIFA-scale World Championship in futsal for the first time, it is preparing to host the World Championship among youth in 2027.
Cooperative relations have been established with FIFA's Committee for Technologies, Innovation, and Digital Development in Football.
It should be noted that this committee works on developing, testing, and implementing innovative solutions such as goal-line technology, semi-automated offside system, digital monitoring, and artificial intelligence in football.
By decision of the FIFA Council, the First Vice-President of the Uzbekistan Football Association, Ravshan Irmatov, was appointed as the Deputy Chairman of this committee for 2025-2029.
Furthermore, UFA Secretary General Avaz Maksudov was appointed to the Beach Soccer Committee, and the Head of the UFA Women's Football Development Department, Yulia Panina, was appointed as a member of the Committee for Competitions between Women's National Teams.
