A video has been circulating on social networks today showing how a young man saved a baby who could have fallen from a balcony in one of the multi-story buildings in the Yangihayot district of Tashkent city.
Regarding the incident, the Tashkent City DIA issued an official statement. It was noted that a student living on the 5th floor saved a child who could have fallen from the 4th floor.
"It was around 11 o'clock. Suddenly, we heard screaming. The children of our neighbors downstairs were about to fall from the balcony. I had to jump down without any safety equipment. I jumped down and saved the child. They have three children, we took all of them and brought them inside," said the student.
After the incident, the local prevention inspector held a preventive conversation with the children's mother regarding the situation.
"We were also downstairs with local residents, looking at safety measures. At that moment, our citizen living on the 5th floor showed bravery, jumped to the 4th floor, and saved the child's life," said prevention inspector Nadir Okhunov.
