Criminal liability for minors is being liberalized with amendments and additions introduced to the Criminal Code. The Ministry of Justice reported this.

It is noted that a person who has served the sentence appointed for a crime committed before reaching the age of 18 is now considered not to have a criminal record.

Cases involving the commission of a particularly serious crime or the intentional commission of a new crime before reaching the age of eighteen after serving the sentence for the previously committed crime are exceptions.

At the same time, the minimum term of restriction of liberty and deprivation of liberty for minors has been reduced from six months to one month.

This law enters into force on the day of its official publication.
