The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan issued an official statement regarding the preparation of fake documents in the name of Uzbekistan's consular institutions by some illegal groups in Russia.
According to the MFA, cases of Uzbek citizens submitting fake documents to consular institutions in Russia have been noted recently.
Reportedly, some individuals and groups are offering "document preparation services" for Uzbek and other countries' documents through various virtual channels on the "Telegram" mobile application.
According to the Ministry, as a result of such criminal activity, citizen E.M.R. formalized a fake "Certificate of Return to Homeland." Due to the prompt actions of the Consulate General of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Kazan, the forgery of this document was identified, and the citizen was prevented from committing a crime under Article 322 (illegal crossing of the border) and Article 327 (preparation or sale of fake documents) of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
It was also reported that citizen O.B.B. formalized a fake "marriage certificate" on the basis of marriage and, based on it, obtained a "birth certificate" for a child.
The MFA called on Uzbek citizens in Russia not to trust the advertisements about "document preparation" being distributed on social networks.
The official institution strictly advises citizens to apply only to the authorized bodies of the Republic of Uzbekistan for document formalization, as this helps prevent falling victim to fraud and unpleasant situations.
