Five foreign citizens suspected of preparing a terrorist attack in Almaty have been detained. This was reported by the National Security Committee of Kazakhstan.
It is known that they had developed a specific plan to organize the attack, but were exposed during the preparation stage.
Also, in September–October, eight citizens who promoted terrorism were detained, and six people were sentenced to prison for extremist crimes.
