Vince Zampella, a famous video game developer and one of the authors of the Call of Duty series, has died in a horrific traffic accident in California.
According to The Guardian, 55-year-old Vince Zampella was a victim of an accident that occurred on December 21 in the San Gabriel Mountains of California. The red Ferrari he was driving exited a tunnel at high speed, crashed into a concrete barrier, and caught fire. A passenger in the car also later died in the hospital.
Zampella was one of the well-known figures in the video game industry, considered the head of Respawn Entertainment and a co-founder of the Infinity Ward studio. It was at this studio that the world's best-selling Call of Duty game series was created. He also participated in famous projects such as Medal of Honor and Titanfall.
Vince Zampella began his career in the mid-1990s and later worked at EA Games as the head of the Battlefield military game series. His contribution to the gaming industry is highly valued, and Call of Duty games have sold over 500 million copies worldwide to date.
