This was reported by the National Central Bureau of Interpol under the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
It is reported that, as a result of the effective use of Interpol channels, the cross-border movements of persons accused of committing large-scale fraud and human trafficking crimes and wanted internationally were identified, and they were detained in the territory of Georgia.
Subsequently, as a result of the established cooperation between the two states and meetings and negotiations held in Interpol fields, an agreement was reached between the National Central Bureaus of Tashkent and Tbilisi on the extradition of the wanted persons to Uzbekistan.
In particular, based on the request of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the investigation materials were studied, and the request for extradition was satisfied by the Ministry of Justice of Georgia.
These individuals were handed over by the authorized bodies of Georgia to the representatives of the Interpol National Central Bureau of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Uzbekistan at Tbilisi city airport on December 27. Afterwards, they were brought to Tashkent city and handed over to the employees of the MIA in due order at the Islam Karimov International Airport.
