Three police officers were killed as a result of a shootout between police and ISIS militants in Turkey's Yalova province. This was announced by the country's Minister of Internal Affairs, Ali Yerlikaya.
It is reported that the clash began when police raided a house where individuals suspected of terrorism were hiding. During the operation, six militants were eliminated, and eight police officers and one guard sustained various injuries.
Five women and six children present in the building were safely evacuated. The operation started at 2:00 AM local time and concluded at 9:40 AM.
According to the Minister of Internal Affairs, this raid is considered one of the large-scale anti-terrorism measures simultaneously carried out in 15 provinces of Turkey against ISIS.
