Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov was urgently hospitalized in Moscow on the night of December 24 to 25, 2025. This was reported by "Novaya Gazeta. Europe," citing a source close to him.
According to the report, Kadyrov had traveled to the capital to participate in a State Council meeting that was to be held under the chairmanship of Russian President Vladimir Putin. However, his health sharply deteriorated, and he was taken by resuscitation vehicle to the Central Clinical Hospital under the jurisdiction of the Russian Presidential Administration. As a result, the State Council meeting took place without a representative from Chechnya.
According to the publication's source, Kadyrov was resuscitated by doctors in Moscow, after which he returned to Chechnya and has not been seen in public since.
We note that at the beginning of 2025, Kadyrov was also hospitalized in a private clinic in Grozny, and afterwards, reports spread about his condition worsening. However, he denied rumors about his health several times throughout the year.
Some sources suggest that Kadyrov may have serious problems related to his kidneys or pancreas. However, no precise information about an official diagnosis has been provided.
