In the Chust district, a collision occurred with a passenger bus as a result of the driver of a Cobalt passenger car falling asleep at the wheel. According to the DIA, three people died, and several others were injured, reports Kun.uz.
A fatal traffic accident occurred in the territory of the Damobod neighborhood of the Chust district of the Namangan region. According to a Kun.uz source, the incident occurred on January 25 at around 6:30 AM.
Reportedly, the driver, born in 1999, fell asleep at the wheel while driving a Cobalt car at high speed and collided with an Isuzu bus moving in the opposite direction. As a result, the Cobalt driver and a 20-year-old citizen who was a passenger in the car died at the scene. Another passenger died in the hospital.
Also, 5–6 passengers on the bus sustained bodily injuries of varying severity. It is noted that the bus was taking local residents to an iron processing plant located in the Chust district.
