U.S. military intelligence noted that its assessments from last year remain in force, stating that Iran may need until 2035 to develop an "intercontinental ballistic missile" using existing space launch vehicles.
According to one source, even if China or North Korea provides technological assistance, the country will need at least eight years to develop a "thing" that meets intercontinental ballistic missile standards and is ready for use.
The sources also stated that there is currently no information indicating Iran is developing a missile capable of reaching U.S. territory in the near term.
