On the night of March 9, following the downing of a ballistic missile launched by Iran in Turkish airspace, the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs summoned Iran's Ambassador in Ankara, Mohammad Hassan Habibollahzadeh.
According to Anadolu's report, the ambassador was informed of Turkey's displeasure regarding the ballistic missile's entry into Turkish airspace and was asked to provide an explanation.
We note that earlier, Hakan Fidan had made a statement about a missile directed from Iran towards Turkey, issuing a stern warning to Ankara. Subsequently, for the second time, an Iranian missile was shot down in Turkish airspace.
Recep Tayyip Erdoğan discussed the incident with Masoud Pezeshkian over the phone and called for respecting Turkish airspace.
