From March 1, 2026, the retail prices of nearly 2000 types of medicines dispensed by prescription have been reduced. This was reported by the Agency for the Development of the Pharmaceutical Network.
It is reported that before purchasing medicines, consumers can check their established reference (maximum) prices through special digital platforms. For this, it is recommended to use the pharm.gov.uz website and the PharmUz mobile application.
Through these services, users can view information about the name of the medicine, its manufacturer, and the established retail price. This will help prevent the artificial inflation of medicine prices in pharmacies.
If it is found that a medicine is being sold at a price higher than the established reference price, consumers can file a complaint through the "Complaints" section in the PharmUz application. Complaints will be reviewed by authorized bodies, and if a violation is identified, appropriate measures will be taken.
Furthermore, pharmacies are strictly required to adhere to the established reference prices when selling medicines. If medicines are found to be sold at prices above the maximum, this will be considered a violation of licensing requirements, and the pharmacy's license may be revoked.
