US President Donald Trump announced that he asked Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu not to attack Iran's oil and gas facilities. This was reported by Zamon.uz.
According to him, the Israeli leader agreed to this request.
Trump spoke about this during a meeting with Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi at the White House.
US President emphasized the good cooperation between the two countries and also noted that in some situations Israel can make independent decisions.
"We get along very well. Many issues are agreed upon. Sometimes he might do something, but if we don't like it, he won't do it," said Trump.
Earlier, reports spread that Israeli military had struck the area of the South Pars gas field, one of the major energy projects in southern Iran. It was reported that as a result of this attack, work was temporarily halted at some of the field's facilities.
