During January–March 2026, 191,086 live births were recorded in Uzbekistan. This was reported by the National Statistics Committee.
According to the data, 98.5 thousand of the newborns were boys, accounting for 51.5 percent of the total. The number of girls was 92.6 thousand, making up 48.5 percent of all births.
By region, the highest number of births was recorded in Samarkand region — 23,120. The next places were Fergana region — 21,563, and Kashkadarya region — 21,292.
Also, 18,468 babies were born in Surkhandarya region, 16,849 in Andijan region, and 16,157 in Namangan region.
In Tashkent region, 14,923 births were registered, and in the city of Tashkent, 14,040 births.
The figures for the remaining regions are as follows:
— Khorezm region — 9,183;
— Bukhara region — 8,741;
— Jizzakh region — 8,616;
— Republic of Karakalpakstan — 8,080;
— Navoi region — 5,241;
— Syrdarya region — 4,813.
